Eastern Washington gets some things right.
(Referring to the eastern half of the western state, not the other Washington on the east coast.)

I read this only because a friend sent it to me. I generally regard Glenn Beck as a blithering idiot and avoid him in droves. Within a few paragraphs my jaw literally dropped. This is the sanest thing I've seen come out of ANY political commentator in years. Write On!
(Please, Glenn, write more like this.)

Clinton is in the top 10 of Senators on earmarks, Obama in the bottom quarter. The detail is also important: "Obama's criticism of Washington's insider culture is a linchpin of his campaign; he supports earmarks only for public entities such as schools and hospitals. He secured $3.3 million in earmarks through his own sponsorship, and collected $88 million in concert with other Illinois lawmakers."

"But as reality burns skin and sears the brain, so art tries to return us whole again." Nausher's own photographs are both searing and healing, and so are those he finds for us.

Years Served in Elective Office By Each Presidential Candidate -

Both John McCain and Mike Huckabee can legitimately claim to have more experience in elected office than Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton can not!

I'm finally reading the blog of the developer of one of my favorite Firefox extensions, ColorZilla. There is so much more here than just news about ColorZilla updates! Web design tips, photography, what's Facebook's newest competitor -- a geek's "must have" bookmark. :)

A more detailed analysis of the two Democratic contenders than most of the polarized proponents sling back and forth. Giving honest credit to the strengths of both candidates (both of whom have been very successful at bipartisan work in the Senate) George Packer raises the clearest difference between them: how they see the job of President.
To Obama, the President must have "a vision for where the country needs to go" then "mobilize and inspire the American people to get behind that agenda for change." To Clinton the President is the "chief executive officer" who has "to be able to manage and run the bureaucracy."
As I would put it: Obama regards us as the leaders in transforming America; Hillary is the CEO intent on transforming America for us.
And that is why I support Obama.
