The Republicans have set us up for another Great Depression. The crash will be held off until a Democrat is in the White House. Then they will blame the Democrats for it. The Democrats will end the Depression with another New Deal, and rebuild the Middle Class. The Republicans will then decades undoing the New New Deal, tearing down the Middle Class, and setting us up for the next Great Depression, so they can blame the Democrats for it.

The top .01% will stay rich, all the way through.

Thank you, Tigana, for another great find; one right "up my alley." It's good to know this effort exists, even if their website is out of date.

It would be even better, however, when a site addresses low-income issues, to have a low-tech alternative available for visitors. Yes, Virginia, there still are people using modems.

From the blog "Anonymous Is A Woman: Politics and Religion and Culture"

This cannot be repeated often enough: quoting from the Koran to justify treating all Islam as terrorist is only as valid as quoting from the Bible to justify treating all Christianity as terrorist. You get to condemn both religions, or neither one. You either protect the rights of everyone, or lose your own.

I've been seeing middleclass-people-becoming-homeless for ten years. Now it's big enough to catch media attention. Do you know how many people are still in denial? Our (Democratic) Seattle Mayor, for one!

Yes, the Republicans have done the worst damage -- but Democrats have been running the middle class into the ground, too. The wealth gap has been widening, and the real wage of the majority of the country has been going down, for forty years -- under Democrats AND Republicans.

English definitely needs some of these concepts. From the page: "Taarradhin (Arabic): a way of resolving a problem without anyone losing face (not the same as our concept of a compromise - everyone wins)."
