A more detailed analysis of the two Democratic contenders than most of the polarized proponents sling back and forth. Giving honest credit to the strengths of both candidates (both of whom have been very successful at bipartisan work in the Senate) George Packer raises the clearest difference between them: how they see the job of President.
To Obama, the President must have "a vision for where the country needs to go" then "mobilize and inspire the American people to get behind that agenda for change." To Clinton the President is the "chief executive officer" who has "to be able to manage and run the bureaucracy."
As I would put it: Obama regards us as the leaders in transforming America; Hillary is the CEO intent on transforming America for us.
